What age are The Little Magpie Series books suitable for?
The stories are written for young children to enjoy with their families, with gentle rhymes, colourful illustrations, and messages that can open up conversations as children grow.

Do the books need to be read in order?
Not at all! Each book has its own story and message, so they can be enjoyed individually. However, reading the series together lets children follow Jakey and his family through their different adventures.

Are the stories based on real life?
Many of them are inspired by real family experiences, relationships, and emotions. When Daddy Couldn't Fly, the very first Little Magpie story, was inspired by our own family's experience and became the beginning of the whole series.

Where can I buy the books and merchandise?
Books and Little Magpie merchandise will be available to purchase through our website, with more products being added as our little Magpie family grows.

What should I know about ordering and delivery?
We want ordering from The Little Magpie Series to be as simple and enjoyable as possible. Books and merchandise will be available to order directly through our website. Where possible, orders will be lovingly prepared and packed with care before making their way from our little nest to yours.

The heart behind The Little Magpie Series

The Little Magpie Series comes from the heart. The stories aren't just adventures I've thought up — many are inspired by real family experiences, emotions, and relationships. The very first story, When Daddy Couldn't Fly, was inspired by our own family and became the beginning of the whole Little Magpie journey.

Some of the books gently explore bigger subjects, such as having a poorly parent, change, worry, and starting school, while others celebrate the funny, ordinary, and special moments of family life. Although the books have meaningful messages, I still want them to feel fun, colourful, and comforting for children, rather than heavy or frightening.

Most importantly, this is a small family business that is still growing. Every book bought, post shared, recommendation made, and kind message received genuinely means so much to me and helps Jakey and his little magpie family continue their adventures. 💜 Little Wings… Big Hearts.
